Vier was on the floor rolling around and clutching his head in pain, "You bitch!" He said looking up at Amaya; his face full of anger, and pain.
She walked over next to his body and began kicking him silently leaving the rest of the vampires and Shinji, Haku, Sei and Grace to watch quietly.

Chapter 9: War
Sei continued hacking at Vier. Who was deflecting the sword with a steak knife while they walked. He was simply moving his arm not having to look at Sei in order to block the slashes. Though Sei’s face was covered in sweat.
“So if we take this path up here…we should be able to make over the mountain before nightfall,” Vier said explaining to Shinji.
Shinji began following where Vier was pointing and his eyes went into a serious look, “Vier. There is an intense war going on through there.”
